TAKING MEASUREMENTS
NOTE: INDIVIDUAL STEPS MAY VARY FOR DIFFERENT TYPES OF VEHICLES - ALWAYS REFER TO MANUFACTURER'S RECOMMENDATIONS
- Remove the injection pump head screw and install the appropriate sensor holder in its place
- If necessary, in place of the measuring tip with a ball, install the appropriate extension
- Set the sensor to the value of about 1.5 mm
- Turn the crankshaft counterclockwise until the pointer stops moving,
- Reset the sensor display,
- Slowly turn the crankshaft in a clockwise direction until the GMP mark matches
- Read sensor reading and compare with factory data,
- If necessary, correct the pump setting and repeat the measurement
